United States $62-$100/hr
A mid-level ERP business analyst in the United States costs $62 to $100 an hour, which is $9,920 to $16,000 a month at 160 billable hours. Junior rates run $49 to $77 and senior rates $80 to $127. The benchmark every other market on this list is measured against, and the only one priced from a published US wage median rather than a ratio.
Canada $62-$100/hr
A mid-level ERP business analyst in Canada costs $62 to $100 an hour, which is $9,920 to $16,000 a month at 160 billable hours. Junior rates run $49 to $77 and senior rates $80 to $127. Time zone overlap rather than rate is the reason teams choose it: it prices level with the United States, is usually billed in USD, and the saving against a US hire is small.
United Kingdom $38-$62/hr
A mid-level ERP business analyst in the United Kingdom costs $38 to $62 an hour, which is $6,080 to $9,920 a month at 160 billable hours. Junior rates run $30 to $48 and senior rates $50 to $79. The closest large market to US rates anywhere, at a published full-stack median of 0.62x the US figure, the highest ratio here except Canada.
Germany $34-$55/hr
A mid-level ERP business analyst in Germany costs $34 to $55 an hour, which is $5,440 to $8,800 a month at 160 billable hours. Junior rates run $27 to $42 and senior rates $44 to $70. Deep enterprise and industrial software supply, at a published full-stack median of 0.55x the US figure, concentrated around Berlin and Munich.
Sweden $53-$86/hr
A mid-level ERP business analyst in Sweden costs $53 to $86 an hour, which is $8,480 to $13,760 a month at 160 billable hours. Junior rates run $42 to $66 and senior rates $69 to $109. The largest Nordic talent market, concentrated around Stockholm, with full overlap with the European working day and consistently high English proficiency.
Denmark $53-$86/hr
A mid-level ERP business analyst in Denmark costs $53 to $86 an hour, which is $8,480 to $13,760 a month at 160 billable hours. Junior rates run $42 to $66 and senior rates $69 to $109. A small, high-cost Nordic market with deep product and design supply, and the same European working-day overlap as Sweden.
Brazil $32-$52/hr
A mid-level ERP business analyst in Brazil costs $32 to $52 an hour, which is $5,120 to $8,320 a month at 160 billable hours. Junior rates run $25 to $40 and senior rates $42 to $66. The largest talent market in Latin America and the closest time zone match for US East Coast teams.
Mexico $32-$52/hr
A mid-level ERP business analyst in Mexico costs $32 to $52 an hour, which is $5,120 to $8,320 a month at 160 billable hours. Junior rates run $25 to $40 and senior rates $42 to $66. Nearshore for the United States, with same-day overlap across every US time zone and supply growing faster than Brazil's.
Vietnam $21-$50/hr
A mid-level ERP business analyst in Vietnam costs $21 to $50 an hour, which is $3,360 to $8,000 a month at 160 billable hours. Junior rates run $13 to $22 and senior rates $29 to $70. The widest gap to US rates of the Southeast Asian markets, though overlap with US hours requires a shifted schedule.
Philippines $16-$43/hr
A mid-level ERP business analyst in the Philippines costs $16 to $43 an hour, which is $2,560 to $6,880 a month at 160 billable hours. Junior rates run $12 to $21 and senior rates $24 to $59. The highest English proficiency in Southeast Asia, and night-shift working for US overlap is well established.
Poland $36-$59/hr
A mid-level ERP business analyst in Poland costs $36 to $59 an hour, which is $5,760 to $9,440 a month at 160 billable hours. Junior rates run $29 to $45 and senior rates $47 to $75. The largest and most established talent market in Eastern Europe, with full overlap with the UK and European working day.
India $15-$38/hr
A mid-level ERP business analyst in India costs $15 to $38 an hour, which is $2,400 to $6,080 a month at 160 billable hours. Junior rates run $10 to $18 and senior rates $22 to $53. Stack Overflow's India medians run from 0.10x the US figure to 0.26x depending on the role read, so a single India rate means very little on its own.

What sets the rate for ERP Business Analysts

The ERP analyst is a business analyst with a domain, and the domain is what you are actually buying. Someone who already knows how procurement, finance or supply chain behaves inside a major ERP will not spend the first six weeks learning your process, and on a migration that difference is the whole schedule. The rate sits in the same band as general analysis; the engagements run longer and the cost of a bad hire is higher.

Pushes the rate up

  • A migration or replatform, where current-state documentation has to be produced before anything can be designed.
  • Finance or supply chain modules, where the process has audit and compliance consequences.

Pulls the rate down

  • Enhancement work inside a stable, documented implementation.
  • A standard module configuration that has not been customised away from vendor behaviour.

Estimated Cost by Project Scope

Whole-project cost at the mid-level United States rate of $62 to $100 an hour. The hour ranges are estimates and the scope, not the rate, is what usually moves a quote.

Freelancer or employee?

The rates above are contractor rates: you pay for hours worked and nothing else. An employee costs a salary plus statutory employer contributions, and the comparison is not the one most people assume, because a freelancer at $50 an hour working full time is not cheaper than a $50-an-hour salaried equivalent once you account for the hours you do not buy.

If you are weighing a permanent hire in a specific market instead, the salary rate cards price employment by country and role, with local currency bands and employer costs.

Questions buyers ask

How much does it cost to hire a ERP business analyst in the United States?

A mid-level freelance ERP business analyst in the United States costs $62 to $100 an hour, which is $9,920 to $16,000 a month at 160 billable hours. Junior rates run $49 to $77 and senior rates $80 to $127. The range is derived from a published US employee median of $100,956 a year, loaded with the payroll, insurance and leave costs a contractor carries themselves rather than an employer.

What is the per hour rate of a ERP business analyst?

It depends almost entirely on where they are. A mid-level ERP business analyst bills $62 to $100 an hour in the United States, $62 to $100 in Canada, and $15 to $38 in India, the cheapest of the ten markets on this page. Seniority moves the rate about 2.5x from junior to staff level, following the wage distribution the US Bureau of Labor Statistics publishes for software developers.

How much does a freelance ERP business analyst cost per month?

At 160 billable hours, a mid-level ERP business analyst costs $9,920 to $16,000 a month in the United States and $2,400 to $6,080 a month in India. Freelance engagements are billed on hours worked, so a month with fewer billable hours costs proportionally less, which is the main way this differs from a salary.

Is it cheaper to hire a ERP business analyst freelance, in-house or through an agency?

At mid-level in the United States a freelancer bills $62 to $100 an hour, an employee costs $70 to $110 once recruiting, equipment and management are loaded on, and an agency bills $120 to $205, which is 1.5 to 2.5 times the individual rate for a project manager and cover if someone leaves. Freelance wins on short or uncertain scope because you can stop paying. Employment wins once the work outlasts a year.

Which platform is cheapest for hiring ERP business analysts?

On fees, Arc charges nothing on hourly work and Upwork takes 3% to 10%, the lowest of the channels that publish anything; Toptal publishes none. On rates, Upwork spans $25 to $150 an hour and Fiverr $25 to $100, against $70 to $200 on a vetted network. The channel is the smallest lever you have: fees span 0% to 25%, while on this page geography moves the same hour about 4.1x and seniority about 2.6x.

Do we need ERP-specific experience or will a general analyst do?

For a migration, ERP-specific, and it is not close. The value is knowing how the modules behave and what usually breaks, which a general analyst learns on your time and your budget. For enhancement work inside a system your team already understands, a strong general analyst is often the better hire and considerably easier to find.

When should we bring the analyst in?

Before selecting the system, not after. The most expensive ERP mistakes are made during selection, when nobody has documented how the business actually works and the decision gets made on demonstrations. An analyst engaged early produces the current-state picture the whole project depends on, and that document outlives the implementation.
