The short version: Indonesia has the cheapest job advertising of any market in this series. JobStreet posts free against 20 million candidates, KitaLulus posts free against 11 million, Dealls bundles a free applicant tracking system. The money goes on screening a country of 286 million spread across 38 provinces, each with its own minimum wage.
Almost every board that matters in Indonesia lets you post at no cost. That is unusual, and it changes what you should optimise for.
I have set up employment in Indonesia for clients, and the expensive surprises never came from advertising. They came from the two things a job board rarely mentions. Provincial minimum wages that differ by a factor of three between Jakarta and Central Java, and THR, the religious holiday allowance that is a legal entitlement rather than a bonus.

How Hiring Through an Indonesian Job Board Works
You register an employer account, post in Indonesian, and applications arrive within a day. Posting is free on most of the boards below, and what you pay for is promotion, database search, or the tooling that handles applicants once they arrive.
Language is the first decision. Bahasa Indonesia is the working language for almost every role outside senior positions at multinationals, and an English-only ad narrows your pool without raising its quality. The exception is engineering, where English job descriptions are normal.
Location is the second. Indonesia is an archipelago, and Jakarta, Bandung, Surabaya and Yogyakarta behave like separate labour markets with separate pay expectations. A national ad reads as a Jakarta ad unless you say otherwise.

The audience behind those boards is large and young: 230 million internet users out of a population of 286 million, at 80.5 percent penetration, according to DataReportal’s Digital 2026 Indonesia report. Mobile is the default, and several of these platforms are app-first by design.
The 7 Best Job Boards to Hire Employees in Indonesia
These seven were picked on reach, on whether an overseas employer can use the employer side, and on whether each holds a segment the others do not. Every site below was opened and screenshotted in August 2026, and each rating was read from the store listing on the same day.

1. JobStreet by SEEK
JobStreet is the default for professional hiring. SEEK states that employers can post every role at no cost and reach over 20 million candidates in Indonesia, with paid ad types held back for urgent or hard to fill positions.

Key features:
- Free Lite job ads, with paid upgrades charged on performance.
- Assist, SEEK’s AI hiring tool, which surfaces the strongest applicants and runs pre-screening.
- Basic Talent Search, giving free access to a database SEEK reports at over 50 million profiles across Asia Pacific.
- Support over WhatsApp, which is how Indonesian businesses expect to reach a vendor.
- One account also covering Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines.
How to use it: register at id.employer.seek.com with a company email, verify, then use the guided ad builder. SEEK describes the flow as three steps: register, post, sort applications. Write the ad in Bahasa Indonesia unless the role genuinely runs in English, and name the city in the title.

| What works well | What to watch |
|---|---|
| The widest professional reach in Indonesia, free to start. | Volume is high and the screening burden lands on you. |
| Free Basic Talent Search is unusual at this size. | Paid ad pricing is quoted in account rather than published. |
| WhatsApp support matches how local businesses actually operate. | Weaker than KitaLulus for frontline and service roles. |
Reviews: the JobStreet app scores 4.6 out of 5 from about 473,000 ratings on Google Play with 10 million or more downloads. That rating covers the regional app rather than Indonesia alone, but it is the same product Indonesian candidates use.
2. Glints
Glints treats Indonesia as one of its core markets, and it is the strongest of the regional platforms here for early career hiring. Its free marketplace reports 8,000 or more jobs posted monthly, 60,000 organisations served, and around 6 million visitors a month across six markets.

Key features:
- Unlimited free job listings once the company profile is verified.
- A company profile page and applicant management in one dashboard.
- Regional coverage, so one account also reaches Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines.
- A young candidate base, heavy on first and second jobs.
- TalentHub, a paid managed service covering recruitment, employer of record and payroll.
How to use it: sign up free at employers.glints.com, upload a legal document for verification, then post. Glints states verification takes up to three working days and that new profiles plus the first ten listings are reviewed, so open the account before the week you need someone.

| What works well | What to watch |
|---|---|
| Free unlimited listings and an English dashboard, which few local boards offer. | Verification delays the first post by up to three working days. |
| Genuinely strong in Indonesia rather than treating it as a secondary market. | Trustpilot reviews of the group are poor, at 1.4 out of 5 from 41 reviews. |
| Candidate app is the best rated in this list. | Skews junior, so senior local hires are harder to source here. |
Reviews: the candidate app scores 4.7 out of 5 from about 303,000 ratings on Google Play with 10 million or more downloads. The employer side reads differently: Glints Intern Pte Ltd holds 1.4 out of 5 from 41 Trustpilot reviews, a small sample worth reading before you buy the managed service.
3. LinkedIn
LinkedIn reported 37.0 million members in Indonesia in late 2025, equal to 12.9 percent of the population. That counts registered accounts rather than active users, so read it as a ceiling rather than an audience.

Key features:
- LinkedIn Recruiter with Hiring Assistant, for teams hiring continuously.
- Hiring Pro, the lighter product for occasional hiring by people who are not recruiters.
- InMail for reaching candidates who are not applying to anything.
- Filters on current employer, which finds the person already doing the job at a Jakarta competitor.
- Career Pages, which matter when a foreign company has no local reputation.
How to use it: post through the free job slot to test response, then choose between promoting that ad and buying Recruiter seats. In Indonesia the sourcing side outperforms the posting side above mid level, so put the budget into InMail rather than ad promotion.

| What works well | What to watch |
|---|---|
| The only board here that targets by current employer and career history. | The most expensive route per hire once Recruiter seats are added. |
| Candidates are comfortable working in English and with overseas employers. | 12.9 percent population coverage is the thinnest of the markets in this series. |
| Best fit for management, finance and senior technical roles. | Poor value for frontline, retail and service hiring. |
Reviews: 4.1 out of 5 from roughly 3.49 million ratings on Google Play. A global average, which is the honest limit of what a store rating says about one market.
4. Indeed Indonesia
Indeed is the fastest way for an overseas company to start. A free job post, no local entity required, and a dashboard that groups applicants meeting your requirements at the top.

Key features:
- Free job posting, with Sponsored Jobs on a pay-as-you-go budget.
- Screener questions and assessments attached to the application.
- Automatic grouping of applicants who meet your stated requirements.
- Resume search for proactive sourcing, sold separately.
- Company review and salary pages candidates read before applying.
How to use it: create the account at id.indeed.com/hire and post the free ad. Add knockout questions on city and willingness to relocate, because in an archipelago that filter removes more unsuitable applications than any skills question.

| What works well | What to watch |
|---|---|
| No entity, no documents, no wait. Post within the hour. | Local brand strength sits well behind JobStreet. |
| Screener questions are the best filtering tools in this list. | Sponsored budgets drain quickly on broad job titles. |
| Aggregation pulls listings in from company career sites. | Your ad competes with scraped duplicates of itself. |
Reviews: 4.5 out of 5 from roughly 13.6 million ratings on Google Play with over 100 million downloads. Global rather than Indonesian, but Indonesian candidates use the same product.
5. KitaLulus
KitaLulus owns the mass market the professional boards skip. It reports more than 11 million jobseekers and over 100,000 companies using it, and job posting is free with no paid tier required to get started.

Key features:
- Free job posting, with listings also promoted through KitaLulus media partners.
- A single company dashboard for managing every applicant.
- Depth in admin, retail, food service, healthcare support and skilled trades.
- Listings organised by role and by regency, which matters far outside the big cities.
- A premium recruitment tier when the free listing does not fill the role.
How to use it: go to the pasang loker page, register the company, and post free. KitaLulus describes it as three steps: click post, register the company, manage applicants in the dashboard. The interface is Indonesian only, so a local manager should own this account.

| What works well | What to watch |
|---|---|
| Free posting into the largest non-professional candidate pool here. | No English employer interface, which rules out self-service for most foreign teams. |
| Regency-level listings reach candidates outside Jakarta and Surabaya. | Wrong board for management or senior technical roles. |
| Media partner promotion is included rather than sold as an upgrade. | Applicant quality varies widely at the free tier. |
Reviews: KitaLulus publishes its own figures of 11 million jobseekers and 100,000 companies rather than audited metrics, and it has no independently rated employer product to check. Judge it on the first free listing, which costs nothing but your time.
6. Dealls
Dealls is the newest platform here and the most interesting for a small team. It posts jobs free and bundles an applicant tracking system with it, describing itself as a two in one job portal and ATS used by more than 2,000 Indonesian companies.

Key features:
- Free job posting with an applicant tracking system included rather than sold separately.
- Automated CV screening using AI, with advanced filtering on top.
- Unlimited talent search access.
- Automated candidate emails and take-home tests sent from the platform.
- Kantorku, its own HRIS, covering payroll, GPS attendance and PPh 21 income tax calculation.
How to use it: register on the employer page and post free. The reason to pick Dealls over KitaLulus is the tooling: if you have no applicant tracking system, this replaces one. Ask about the HRIS separately rather than bundling it into the hiring decision.

| What works well | What to watch |
|---|---|
| A free ATS bundled with free posting, which nothing else here matches. | 2,000 companies is small next to JobStreet or KitaLulus. |
| AI screening and automated tests cut real work out of a small team’s week. | The candidate pool is younger and narrower than the incumbents. |
| The HRIS is a genuine option if you have no payroll tooling in Indonesia. | Interface is Indonesian first, with limited English. |
Reviews: Dealls has no independently rated employer product and publishes no audited user numbers, which is normal for a platform this young. The 2,000 company figure is its own. Test it alongside a JobStreet ad rather than instead of one.
7. Karir.com
Karir.com is the long-running local incumbent, and the one that sells recruitment as a project rather than as advertising. Its employer products run from job posting through to managed hiring campaigns.

Key features:
- Job posting with automatic candidate matching and online test modules built in.
- ERIKA, its e-recruitment system, for running the process paperlessly.
- Customized Recruitment Projects, aimed at filling a set number of roles in a specific city or industry.
- Media promotion to extend an ad beyond the site’s own audience.
- A bilingual employer interface, unusual among the local platforms.
How to use it: register on the employers page. The reason to choose Karir.com is the project model: if you need thirty people in Surabaya by a fixed date, that is a different purchase from a job ad, and this is the platform here that sells it.

| What works well | What to watch |
|---|---|
| The bilingual interface makes it usable without an Indonesian speaker. | Reach has fallen behind JobStreet and the newer app-first platforms. |
| Online testing is built in rather than bolted on. | No published pricing, so every plan needs a conversation. |
| The project model suits opening a site or scaling a team in one city. | Closer to an agency engagement than a job board at that tier. |
Reviews: Karir.com publishes no user metrics and has no independently rated app, so there is nothing external to check. Treat the recruitment project tier the way you would an agency: ask for two references on comparable campaigns before signing.
Comparison At a Glance
| Board | Best for | Free posting | Candidate app rating |
|---|---|---|---|
| JobStreet | Professional hiring at any level | Yes, Lite ads | 4.6 (473,000 ratings) |
| Glints | Junior roles and regional hiring | Yes, after verification | 4.7 (303,000 ratings) |
| Management and senior specialists | One free job slot | 4.1 (3.49 million ratings) | |
| Indeed | Fast setup and screener questions | Yes | 4.5 (13.6 million ratings) |
| KitaLulus | Mass market and regional roles | Yes | No store listing found |
| Dealls | Free posting plus a bundled ATS | Yes | No store listing found |
| Karir.com | Managed recruitment projects | No, quote only | No store listing found |
Six of the seven post free. That makes Indonesia the cheapest market in this series to advertise in, and it means the board you pick should be decided by which segment it holds and what tooling it gives you, not by price.
What a Job Board Will Not Do for You
A job board stops at the offer, and Indonesian employment then brings two costs that catch foreign employers out. The first is the minimum wage, which is set province by province and reviewed annually, so the floor in Jakarta is several times the floor in parts of Central Java.

The second is THR, the religious holiday allowance. It is a legal entitlement, not a discretionary bonus: employees with twelve months of service receive a full month’s wage, shorter service is pro-rated from one month, and it must be paid at least seven days before the employee’s own religious holiday.
On top of that sit BPJS Ketenagakerjaan and BPJS Kesehatan, the employment and health social security schemes, both with employer contributions. Our Indonesia payroll, benefits and tax guide covers the rates and the filing calendar. Without a local entity, an employer of record in Indonesia becomes the legal employer while your team directs the work.
Job Board, Agency, or Hiring Partner?
Post on a board when the role is common, someone on your side reads Indonesian, and you can process the volume. JobStreet plus KitaLulus covers almost every general hire in the country, and both are free.
Use an agency when the role is senior, or when you have nobody local to run the funnel. Our list of IT recruitment agencies in Indonesia covers that route, and software development outsourcing companies in Indonesia covers the managed team model.
Cost usually decides it. Our breakdown of the cost to hire a software developer in Indonesia and the practical guide to hiring Indonesian developers put the free job ad in context, and Philippines versus Vietnam versus Indonesia compares the three markets side by side.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best job board in Indonesia?
JobStreet, for professional roles. SEEK states it reaches over 20 million candidates in Indonesia and posting is free. KitaLulus is stronger for mass market and regional hiring, Dealls bundles an applicant tracking system, and LinkedIn is better above manager level.
Can a foreign company post a job in Indonesia without an entity?
Yes. Indeed, LinkedIn and Glints all accept overseas employers, and posting is not a regulated activity. Employing the person is regulated, and that needs an Indonesian entity or an employer of record.
Which Indonesian job boards are free?
Six of the seven here. JobStreet offers free Lite ads, Indeed a free job post, Glints free unlimited listings after verification, and KitaLulus and Dealls post free outright. LinkedIn includes one free job slot. Karir.com is quote only.
Should the job ad be in Indonesian or English?
Bahasa Indonesia for almost everything. English works for engineering roles and for senior positions at multinationals, and elsewhere it shrinks your applicant pool without improving it. KitaLulus and Dealls are Indonesian only on the employer side anyway.
What is THR and do I have to pay it?
THR is the religious holiday allowance and it is mandatory. Employees with twelve months of service get one month’s wage, shorter service is pro-rated from one month, and payment is due at least seven days before the employee’s own religious holiday. Budget for it from the first offer.
Takeaways
- Six of the seven boards post free, so pick on segment and tooling rather than on price.
- JobStreet for professional roles against a stated 20 million candidates, KitaLulus for the mass market against 11 million jobseekers.
- Dealls is the one to look at if you have no applicant tracking system, since it bundles one with free posting.
- Write in Bahasa Indonesia and name the city. A national ad reads as a Jakarta ad, and pay expectations differ sharply by province.
- The board ends at the offer. Provincial minimum wages, BPJS contributions and mandatory THR are all yours to budget for.
